The Council of Lewisham was scheduled to meet on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, to discuss the statement of accounts for 2024-25, consider several motions, and address questions from both the public and council members.

Council - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 7.30 pm

Lewisham Council met to discuss a range of issues, including increasing councillor allowances, the use of substitutes on committees, and motions on childcare and public ownership of Thames Water[^2]. Councillors agreed to increase their basic allowance by 3.2% to £13,201 per year, and approved the use of substitutes on certain committees to ensure meetings can proceed even if some members are absent. A motion supporting the Labour government's plan for 30 hours of free childcare was passed, as was an amended motion calling for Thames Water to be brought back into public ownership.

Council - Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 7.30 pm

The Council of Lewisham met on 16 July 2025, and agreed to consider a petition regarding divestment from Palestine, adopted the Lewisham Local Plan, and approved the Lewisham Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule. The council also paid tribute to two former councillors who had recently died, and heard announcements on Lewisham schools, the return of the Blackheath fireworks display, and funding for care experienced employment.

Licensing Committee - Thursday, 8th May, 2025 7.00 pm

The Licensing Committee of Lewisham Council scheduled a meeting to address licensing matters within the borough. The agenda included the consideration of minutes from previous meetings and declarations of interest, alongside two applications for premises licences at Lamors Winery, 21 Loampit Hill, SE13 7SZ and 114 Sydenham Road SE26 5JX.

The Council of Lewisham Council met on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, for its annual general meeting, and to discuss a review of the council's constitution. The agenda included the election of the speaker and deputy speaker, and the allocation of seats and appointments to committees.
