Community Safety Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 11.00 am
The Community Safety Scrutiny Committee convened for its first formal meeting, during which members endorsed the Safer Lincolnshire Partnership Strategy for 2025-2028, aimed at reducing crime, disorder, and antisocial behaviour in the county. The committee also reviewed and approved its work programme for 2025 and 2026, outlining key areas of focus and upcoming agenda items.
Audit Committee - Monday, 16th June, 2025 10.00 am
The Lincolnshire County Council Audit Committee met to discuss the annual audit opinion and reports, fraud risk, information assurance, external audit plans, the annual governance statement, and the audit committee work programme. The committee approved the Head of Internal Audit's opinion and report, the counter fraud work plan, the Information Assurance activity, the two external audit plans, and the Annual Governance Statement. The committee also agreed that the Audit Committee Work Programme should be reviewed and amended.
Growth Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 10th June, 2025 10.00 am
The Growth Scrutiny Committee convened to discuss its role and responsibilities, receive introductions to key service areas, and review its work programme for the coming year. Members agreed to endorse the presentations and verbal updates they received, and requested that the County Farm Strategy be brought to the committee at the earliest opportunity. The committee also requested a verbal update on the relationship between Lincolnshire County Council and the Mayoral Combined Authority at the next meeting.
Council - Friday, 23rd May, 2025 10.30 am
Councillor Steve Bunney was elected as the new Chairman of the council, and Councillor Mike Beecham was appointed as Vice Chairman. Councillors debated and voted on amendments to the council's constitution, including the structure of scrutiny committees, but ultimately approved the proposed changes. Councillor Sean Matthews was elected as the Leader of the Council, and he outlined his priorities for the coming term, including reducing council debt and protecting Lincolnshire's countryside.
