The Buckinghamshire Council met to discuss several key issues, including the appointment of a returning officer, cabinet member reports, and motions related to local plans and funding. Councillors approved the appointment of Lisa Marie Williams as the returning officer and electoral registration officer, and also approved a motion to engage with water and sewage providers on capacity investment in the local plan. The Transport, Environment, Climate Change and Communities Committee met to discuss key priorities and challenges within their respective portfolios. Councillor David Carroll was appointed Vice-Chairman of the committee. The committee also discussed their work programme for the coming year, agreeing to discuss flooding responses, electric vehicle infrastructure, and digital exclusion at their next meeting.

Standards and General Purposes Committee - Thursday, 12th June, 2025 1.00 pm

The Standards and General Purposes Committee met to review the handling of Member Code of Conduct complaints for the year 2024-2025, and to note the committee's work programme. Councillor Kelly Thornton was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the committee.

Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority - Wednesday, 11th June, 2025 11.00 am

The Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority was scheduled to hold its annual meeting on 11 June 2025. The agenda included the election of a chair and vice-chair, committee appointments, and a review of the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service's (BFRS) performance. Members were also scheduled to discuss the latest inspection findings from His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS).
