The Health and Wellbeing Board met on Monday 19 January 2026 to discuss the implementation of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, updates on mental health services, approaches to tackling obesity and food insecurity, and the commercial determinants of health. Key decisions included noting progress on the Health and Wellbeing Board Implementation Plan 2025-2030 and endorsing the Whole Systems Approach to Obesity as Lewisham's unified response.

The Healthier Communities Select Committee met to discuss the Lewisham Neighbourhood 2 Central 24/7 Community Mental Health Centre, and to hear the findings and feedback from the Reimagining Day Opportunities project. The committee also reviewed its work programme for the year and discussed items for the next meeting.

The Lewisham Health and Well-Being Board convened to discuss several key initiatives, including updates on health inequalities, flu vaccination campaigns, sexual health strategies, and the implementation of the NHS 10-Year Plan. The board approved the Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley and Bexley sexual health strategy, and delegated approval of the neighbourhood health plan to the chair of the board. Members also received updates on the Birmingham Lewisham African Caribbean Health Inequalities Review (BLACHIR), the flu vaccination campaign, and the Better Care Fund.

The Healthier Communities Select Committee met to discuss dentistry services, primary care access, integrated neighbourhood teams and adult social care performance in Lewisham. The committee noted reports on each of these topics. They also approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and confirmed there were no declarations of interest, or responses from the Mayor and Cabinet.

The board approved the Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco (DAT) strategic priorities for 2025-28 and the Lewisham Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025-2030.
