The Constitution and Governance Committee of Cornwall Council met on Tuesday 6 January 2026 to discuss several key procedural and policy matters. The committee approved changes to Council Procedure Rule 12, allowing for more motions to be debated at Council meetings, and recommended that the term Chairman
be replaced with Chair
throughout council documents to promote inclusivity. Additionally, the committee recommended that elected members be provided with guidance on using mobile phones and the Microsoft Teams Voice-Activated Directory to improve constituent engagement.
Cornwall Growth Board - Thursday, 11th December, 2025 2.00 pm
The Cornwall Growth Board approved recommendations to adopt the Defence Sector Addendum to the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Plan 2024-35, and to set up a working group to explore the development of a Cornwall International Strategy, as well as endorsing Global Cornish as the Cornwall Diaspora Strategy. The board also agreed to develop an options paper to explore setting up Global Cornish as an entity external to Cornwall Council.

The Corporate Finance and Performance Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet on 2 December 2025 to discuss the council's capital programme, review their work programme, and receive updates on financial and performance matters. The agenda included the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan 2026-27 and the Council Performance Report for the second quarter of 2025/26.
