This meeting of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Cabinet will consider a range of topics including the acquisition of five NHS-owned care homes, a proposal to reduce the amount of council tax support provided to residents of working age, the council’s revenue position, and a plan to lease privately owned properties for use as temporary accommodation.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 26th November, 2024 6.00 pm
The Royal Borough of Greenwich's Cabinet approved new equality objectives for 2024-28, a new intermediate housing register and its strategic risk register. Cabinet also agreed to sell off a plot of land in Brookhill Road, Woolwich and to accept the surrender of two flats in Carnbrook Road, Kidbrooke. The Cabinet also agreed to send a revised gambling policy to the full council for a final decision.
Cabinet - Wednesday, 18th September, 2024 2.00 pm
The meeting made a number of decisions. It approved the Our Greenwich Annual Plan for 2024-26. It agreed to vary the tenure mix for the final phase of the Woolwich Estates regeneration, resulting in the Council receiving 53 new homes on the site, rather than the 90 that were originally planned. It also approved the scheme and estimate for the development of a new all-through school for children with special educational needs and disabilities at Hargood Road. It agreed to adopt the Statement of Community Involvement and Developers’ Engagement Charter. Finally, it agreed to enter into a lease with Golden Lane Housing to enable the long-term occupation of the flats and shared house at Royal Hill.
Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 25th July, 2024 6.30 pm
The meeting on the 25th of July was the first in the 2024-2025 schedule for the Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel. The meeting was scheduled to include a discussion of a range of issues relating to transport in the borough and some important upcoming work for the panel. In particular, the meeting was scheduled to include a verbal update from the Cabinet Member for Climate Action, Sustainability and Transport.
