Environment Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Monday, 1st December, 2025 10.00 am
The Environment Overview and Scrutiny Panel are scheduled to meet to discuss the Environment Act 2021, receive an update on the Net Zero Carbon Plan 2024-25, review performance and budget monitoring, and consider their work programme. The meeting will be held at Wychavon District Council in Pershore.

Worcestershire County Council met on 6 November 2025, and councillors primarily discussed the proposal for a single unitary authority in Worcestershire, the interim external auditor's report, and a recommendation to approve changes to the capital programme. The council also considered an amendment to the LGPS Central Shareholder Representative Delegation, and a number of notices of motion.
Environment Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Friday, 3rd October, 2025 10.00 am
The Environment, Overview and Scrutiny panel met to discuss flood risk management, performance and budget monitoring, and to refresh the scrutiny work programme. The panel received the Flood Risk Management Annual Report and heard from partner organisations about their work to manage flood risk in Worcestershire. The panel also discussed performance and budget monitoring information for services relating to the environment and agreed to some amendments to the scrutiny work programme for the coming year.

The Worcestershire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including treasury management, school places, local government reorganisation, and climate change. Councillors approved a healthcare parking permit scheme, but rejected a motion to withdraw the council's bid for a single unitary authority. They also agreed with the scientific consensus that man-made climate change exists.

The Environment Overview and Scrutiny Panel met to discuss the Streetscape Design Guide, performance and budget monitoring, and the work programme for the coming year. The panel discussed the Streetscape Design Guide at length, and agreed that the Cabinet Member should ensure that the design code for Wychavon is matched up with the Streetscape Design Guide. The panel also requested further information on training for public rights of way, and data on planning applications.
