The meeting began by agreeing the minutes of the previous meeting, held on the 9th of July 2024. There were three main topics for discussion: an update on the Evidence Islington research programme; an update on the North Central London Integrated Care Board’s delivery plan; and the draft of a new joint health and wellbeing strategy. There was also a brief discussion of the NHS’s 10-year plan consultation.

The meeting considered and approved the Smokefree Generation Islington strategy, received an update on progress towards making Islington an Age Friendly Borough, and received an update on the North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB).

The meeting noted a number of reports, including the annual reports for the Youth Counselling and Substance Misuse and Alcohol Service (YCSMAS), the Islington Safeguarding Adults Board (ISAB), and an update on the Combating Drugs Partnership. The Board also received a presentation on proposed changes to governance arrangements for health and wellbeing, prevention and early help activities in Islington.
