The meeting included announcements from the Mayor and the Leader of the Council. It then moved on to consider a petition calling for the Council to divest funds from institutions engaged in illegal occupations and crimes against humanity. The Council then approved seven motions that had been submitted by Councillors. It also approved a number of reports, including a report on the Council’s budget, and made a number of appointments.

Planning Sub Committee B - Tuesday, 17th September, 2024 7.30 pm

The committee approved all three planning applications on the agenda. The applications were for the change of use of a site at Bingfield Garages, Bingfield Street to eight separate commercial units, the replacement of a kitchen in a listed building at 54 Newington Green, and the erection of a new roof extension at 123 Golden Lane.

Environment, Climate and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 29th July, 2024 7.30 pm, NEW

The committee agreed to adopt Greener, Cleaner, Safer Streets as the topic for its next annual scrutiny review, and to produce a one-off report on the performance of Thames Water. The committee also discussed progress on the new Climate Action and Net Zero Carbon SPD and the draft recommendations of its active travel scrutiny review.
