The applications included proposals for residential and mixed use schemes as well as for new community facilities. The documents describe what was due to be discussed at the meeting, but do not tell us anything about what was actually discussed, or whether any decisions were actually made.

This meeting was about a single Licensing application for Simmons, a bar on Curtain Road. The applicant, Simmons Shoreditch Limited, requested to vary its licence to allow it to sell alcohol until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights, to remove a restriction on the sale of alcohol on Good Friday and to replace the existing conditions on the licence. There were representations made against the application by PC Amanda Griggs for the Metropolitan Police, Channing Riviere for the Licensing Authority, and 52 other people.

Licensing Sub Committee E

Licensing Sub Committee E - Tuesday 19 November 2024 2.00 pm

This Licensing Sub-Committee E meeting of Hackney Council included scheduled discussions on applications for a variation of a premises licence at DUO/Cottons, and for a new premises licence at 87a Great Eastern Street. It also included a standing item on temporary event notices, and a guide for the procedure to be followed during licensing sub-committee hearings.
