South West Wiltshire Area Board - Wednesday 16 July 2025 6.30 pm

The South West Wiltshire Area Board met to discuss a range of community issues, including transport, funding for local initiatives, and updates from community partners such as Wiltshire Police and Community First. Councillors approved funding for highway improvements and community projects, and discussed strategies for supporting vulnerable residents and improving local services.

Southern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 10 July 2025 3.00 pm

The Southern Area Planning Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals and updates, and to consider planning applications. The committee was also expected to receive public questions and statements.

Standards Committee - Wednesday 2 July 2025 1.00 pm

The Standards Committee of Wiltshire Council scheduled a meeting to discuss code of conduct complaints, constitutional changes, and appointments to sub-committees and working groups. The meeting was also scheduled to cover a status report on code of conduct complaints, and proposed changes to the constitution.

Southern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 12 June 2025 3.00 pm

The Southern Area Planning Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals and a planning application for alterations to The Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury. The committee was also expected to receive updates on planning appeals and consider any urgent items.

Council - Tuesday 20 May 2025 10.30 am

The annual meeting of Wiltshire Council saw Councillor Laura Mayes elected as the new chairman, and Councillor Ruth Hopkinson elected as vice-chairman. Councillor Ian Thorne was appointed leader of the council for 2025-2029, and he announced his cabinet. Councillors also voted to delegate decisions on committee appointments to a later meeting, and to authorise work to establish a new financial scrutiny committee.
