Council - Wednesday 27 November 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting was the third ordinary meeting of the 2024/2025 Municipal Year. It included discussion of a petition, scheduled questions from members of the public and Councillors, a report on the work of the Standards Committee, and consideration of motions on the hostile environment, rough sleeping, drug harm reduction and the two-child benefit cap. It also included the appointment of Councillors to outside bodies and the review of political balance on the Council's committees.

Corporate Committee - Wednesday 13 November 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting of the Corporate Committee was scheduled to include a presentation of data on the gender and ethnicity pay gap in Hackney Council, as well as the proposed fees and charges for markets, street trading and shop fronts for 2025/26. The committee was also scheduled to consider the minutes of its previous meeting.

Licensing Committee - Tuesday 12 November 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting of the Licensing Committee included a report on the activities of the Late Night Levy during the third quarter of Year 7 (1 May to 31 July 2024) and a proposed review of the Gambling Statement of Principles.

Licensing Sub Committee C - Monday 11 November 2024 7.00 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee heard an application for a new premises licence for Malavenda Cafe, at Unit 6, 1E Mentmore Terrace. The application was granted, with conditions. The Sub-Committee also considered a variation to the premises licence of Draughts, at 41 Kingsland High Street. The applicant withdrew their request to remove an existing condition, but the application to add two new conditions was granted.

Licensing Sub Committee B - Tuesday 29 October 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to consider one new premises licence application and one variation to an existing premises licence. The meeting was also scheduled to hear representations on applications for Temporary Event Notices, which allow the sale of alcohol for up to 168 hours.
