Licensing Committee - Tuesday 14 October 2025 7.15 pm

The Licensing Committee of Merton Council met on 14 October 2025 to discuss a report on the five yearly review of the council's statement of licensing policy. The committee was scheduled to consider feedback from a public consultation, and to consider approving a draft statement of licensing policy for recommendation to the full council. The meeting was scheduled to be followed by a meeting of the Licensing Committee (miscellaneous) to deal with any licensing matters which are not within the scope of the Licensing Act 2003[^2].

Mitcham Community Forum - Thursday 2 October 2025 7.15 pm

The Mitcham Community Forum of Merton Council scheduled a meeting for October 2, 2025, to cover updates on the town centre, discuss the We Are Merton Big Conversation initiative, and hold an open forum. The agenda for the meeting also included welcome and introductions, and setting the date for the next meeting.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Wednesday 1 October 2025 10.30 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Merton Council scheduled a meeting to discuss licensing applications for Oniri Couriers Ltd and David Lloyd Leisure Ltd. The sub-committee was expected to determine the applications, considering the Licensing Act 2003, licensing objectives, and Merton's Licensing Policy. The Merton Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee is scheduled to meet on 24 September 2025. The agenda includes questions to the Chief Executive, discussion of cabinet member priorities, and an update on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee Working Group. A key focus of the meeting is scheduled to be Safer Merton and violence against women and girls (VAWG).
