The hearing also included time for councillors to declare any conflicts of interest. Councillors were also scheduled to elect a chair at the start of the meeting.

County Council - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 3.00 pm

Northumberland County Council met on 10 September 2025, and agreed to increase the budget for the Northumberland Line project by £37.9 million, commence a county-wide Community Governance Review, and also discussed corporate performance and annual reports from cabinet members.

The Northumberland County Council meeting on 2 July 2025 was scheduled to cover a range of topics, including the Leader's annual report, a constitutional review, and a report from the Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP). Additionally, a motion was put forward concerning the constitutional review process itself.
