Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 1 July 2025 10.30 am

The Strategic Planning Committee met to discuss planning appeals, a large warehouse application in Melksham, a solar farm proposal near Potterne, and the conversion of agricultural buildings in Winterbourne Earls. The committee voted to instruct officers to address a flaw in an appeal decision relating to a Gypsy and Traveller site, deferred a decision on the warehouse for further consideration, refused the solar farm application, and approved the conversion of agricultural buildings.

Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 26 June 2025 10.30 am

The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, an update from Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson, OBE, MPhil, and a report on the Police and Crime Plan. The panel was also scheduled to receive a presentation on road safety.

Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 4 June 2025 2.00 pm

The Northern Area Planning Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals, updates, and consider two planning applications relating to Fordlands, Main Road, Christian Malford, Chippenham, and land north of Chelworth Road, Cricklade Industrial Estate, Cricklade.

Strategic Planning Committee - Wednesday 4 June 2025 10.30 am

At a meeting of the Strategic Planning Committee, chaired by Councillor Ernie Clark, Independent Group Leader, an outline planning application for residential development on land off Freestone Grove, Westbury was approved, subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement[^2]. The committee also received an update on planning appeals, including one relating to land west of Westbury Road in Warminster.

Chippenham and Villages Area Board - Monday 2 June 2025 6.30 pm

The Chippenham and Villages Area Board met to discuss funding for local initiatives, updates from partner organisations, and key issues within the community. The board approved grants for various projects, including the Teen Takeover 2025, Zero North Wiltshire Community Energy website, Wilts and Berks Canal Trust, Sheldon Student Opportunity Fund, and Sheldon Road Methodist Church.
