Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 2.00 pm
The Buckinghamshire Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss cardiovascular disease prevention, the new health and wellbeing strategy, the Better Care Fund, the NHS 10-year plan, and updates from the Integrated Care Boards. The board endorsed a report on cardiovascular disease, approved the new Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy and its action plans, and ratified the Better Care Fund plan for 2025-26. They also noted updates from the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) and the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (BLMK ICB).

The Buckinghamshire Council met to discuss several key issues, including the appointment of a returning officer, cabinet member reports, and motions related to local plans and funding. Councillors approved the appointment of Lisa Marie Williams as the returning officer and electoral registration officer, and also approved a motion to engage with water and sewage providers on capacity investment in the local plan. The Health and Adult Social Care Select Committee met to discuss the Integrated Care Board, the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Adult Social Care and Public Health, and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. Councillor Stuart Wilson, Chair of the Health and Adult Social Care Committee, welcomed the members and partners to the meeting. Councillor Shade Adoh was re-appointed as vice-chair of the committee.
Cabinet - Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 10.00 am
The Buckinghamshire Council cabinet met to discuss the annual report, budget management, and quarterly performance, deciding to approve transfers to reserves and note the performance and budget reports. Councillor Steve Broadbent, Leader of the Council, commended the work of the previous cabinet, while also highlighting financial challenges and the need for government reform in adult social care and school funding. The cabinet also addressed a question about flooding issues in Buckingham and discussed updates on road programmes, housing targets, CCTV upgrades, and support for carers.
