The Chiswick Area Forum meeting on 11 December 2024 was scheduled to include an informal networking event for residents to discuss local issues with councillors and community groups before the formal meeting began. During the meeting itself, the forum was scheduled to receive an update from the police and the community safety team as well as a presentation from the youth organisation, W4 Youth. The forum was also scheduled to receive an update on a range of local issues raised at previous meetings, and hear from residents about matters of local concern.

The meeting included four petitions on a variety of matters, discussion of the ‘state of the borough’ report, the appointment of a new Monitoring Officer and four proposed motions for debate by members. In addition the council considered reports on treasury management, the adoption of a new gambling policy, and constitutional matters. Lastly, five written questions to cabinet members were answered.

This meeting of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee included a review of the recommendations made by the Centre for Governance and Scrutiny, a review of the One Hounslow Financial Strategy, an update on housing regulation, an update on the work of each of the scrutiny panels, and a review of the Forward Plan.

The Chiswick Area Forum meeting on Tuesday 24 September 2024 was due to include an informal networking event before the formal meeting, in which residents could speak to their councillors, and a range of council officers. During the formal meeting, the forum was scheduled to receive an update on the plans for the Hogarth Roundabout, and updates on several topics raised in previous meetings, such as waste from the Mogden Sewage Works, a proposed zebra crossing for Fishers Lane, and the use of E-bikes in the borough.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 19 September 2024 7:00 pm

This meeting was about scrutinising the council's plans and progress on its work on a number of topics. The agenda included a presentation by West London NHS Trust about their plans for the delivery of NHS community services in Hounslow, the consultation on changes to Hounslow's Local Council Tax Support scheme, an update on the performance of Adult Social Care, monitoring of the Delivery Plan for Q1 2024/25, the work of the Scrutiny Panels, and a review of both the Forward Plan and the Work Programme.
