Corporate Parenting Panel - Friday 18 July 2025 9.30 am

The Corporate Parenting Panel were scheduled to discuss updates from Ofsted, reports on adoption services, and a sufficiency statement for children in care and care leavers, at a meeting on 18 July 2025. The panel was also scheduled to hear from young people of the Children in Care Council (CiCC) about their activities. Some of the items scheduled for discussion contained exempt information and were expected to be discussed in private.

County Council - Wednesday 16 July 2025 10.00 am

Durham County Council met on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, for a meeting that included a report from the leader, questions from the public, and discussion of the Corporate Parenting Panel Annual Report. Councillors also voted against extending the time allocated to motions, and ultimately voted to rescind the Climate Emergency Declaration made in 2019, in favour of declaring a County Durham Care Emergency.

Combined Fire Authority for County Durham and Darlington - Tuesday 15 July 2025 10.00 am

The Combined Fire Authority for County Durham and Darlington were scheduled to meet to discuss the Community Risk Management Plan, Local Government Legislation Subscription, and Pay Awards, alongside other internal matters. The meeting was due to take place at the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters. Councillors were also expected to discuss items that were exempt from the public.

Children and Young People's Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 14 July 2025 9.30 am

The Children and Young People's Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to discuss an introduction to Children and Young People's Services, an Integrated Care Board update, the Quarter Four 2024/2025 Performance Management report, and a refresh of the Work Programme.

Mountsett Crematorium Joint Committee - Thursday 3 July 2025 9.30 am

The Mountsett Crematorium Joint Committee met to discuss a range of topics, including a mid-year increase to cremation fees, a review of the committee's constitution, and the annual governance statement. The committee was also scheduled to review performance and operational matters at Mountsett Crematorium.
