Key decisions included the recommendation of the 2026/27 budget and Medium-Term Financial Strategy to Full Council, which involves a 4.99% Council Tax increase and the use of £62 million in Exceptional Financial Support. The Cabinet also agreed to implement a borough-wide additional licensing scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) to improve housing standards and tackle anti-social behaviour.

Decisions were made regarding director changes for Hillingdon First Ltd and The Hillingdon Care Company, the adoption of a business plan for the latter, and the expansion of care services at The Burroughs Care Home.

The Cabinet meeting on 15 January 2026 saw the endorsement of a revised Local Development Scheme, which will be recommended to Full Council for adoption. A decision was also made to lower the age range of Whiteheath Infant and Nursery School to include two-year-olds, and the Cabinet noted the third quarterly update on the Temporary Accommodation Action Plan.
