The County Council of Warwickshire Council was scheduled to consider a range of important topics, including a proposed addition to the capital programme for the Pears Centre refurbishment, the Director of Public Health's annual report, and the county's joint local health and wellbeing strategy. The meeting agenda also included several notices of motion from different political groups, covering issues such as support for farmers, the removal of the Leader of the Council, the Year of Reading, and road maintenance.

The Warwickshire County Council Cabinet met on Thursday 5 March 2026 to discuss and approve a new Council Plan, alongside significant investments in education and fire station facilities. Key decisions included the commencement of public engagement on the draft Council Plan 2026-30, the approval of additions to the Education Capital Programme to create new SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision, and the allocation of funds for essential building alterations at Nuneaton and Rugby Fire Stations. The Cabinet also approved the Warwickshire Employment and Skills Strategy for 2026-2030.

Budget Council (reconvened), County Council - Tuesday 17 February 2026 10.00 am

The County Council of Warwickshire Council met on Tuesday 17 February 2026 to discuss and vote on the 2026/27 budget and the 2026-31 Medium Term Financial Strategy. Key decisions included the adoption of a 3.89% council tax increase, comprising a 1.89% core increase and a 2% adult social care levy, and the approval of a £740.028 million capital programme. The council also approved the Treasury Management Strategy and Investment Strategy for 2026/27.
