Pensions and Investments Committee - Wednesday, 3 December 2025 10.30 am
The Pensions and Investments Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss the investment and stewardship of the Derbyshire Pension Fund, as well as proposed changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). The committee was also expected to review the results of the 2025 actuarial valuation[^2] of the Derbyshire Pension Fund. A report on the stewardship activities of LGPS Central Limited (LGPSC) was also scheduled for discussion.

Derbyshire County Council's cabinet has approved a proposal for a single unitary council for the whole of the Derby and Derbyshire area, which will now be submitted to the government for consideration. The decision was made after considering the findings of an analysis of local government reorganisation options and a debate held by the council on 13 November 2025. If approved, the new council would be responsible for all local government services in the area.
