To 'Make' the Middleton-on-Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan 2024-2041

From: Full Council - Wednesday 7th January 2026 6.00 pm - January 07, 2026

This report is intended to seek agreement from Full Council to ‘make’ (formally adopt) the Middleton-On-Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan 2024-2041. The Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan Group has prepared the Middleton-On-Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan 2024-2041, which was the subject of an independent examination in July and August 2025. The Examiner of this Plan concluded that subject to a series of recommended modifications, the Middleton-On-Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan meets all the necessary legal requirements and should proceed to referendum. (Therefore, if the plan is successful at referendum, then it should be made). This ‘making’ of the plan will give it legal force and it will form part of the statutory Development Plan for that area. Consequently, decisions on planning applications in the neighbourhood area will need to be made in accordance with the Neighbourhood Development Plan or Order, unless material considerations indicate otherwise
