At the annual general meeting of Kensington and Chelsea Council, Councillor Tom Bennett was elected as Mayor for the coming year, with Councillor Arian Oretti appointed as Deputy Mayor. The council also conducted its annual review of committee representation and appointments, ensuring political balance across its various committees and outside organisations. Additionally, the council paid tribute to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Will Lane, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Laura Burns, for their service over the past year.

The Meetings of Council-side Committees were scheduled to take place on 21 May 2025, following the Annual Council Meeting. The agenda included noting changes to committee membership and approving the appointment of chairs and vice-chairs. Councillor Will Lane, the Mayor, was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Planning Applications Committee - Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 6.30 pm

The Kensington and Chelsea Planning Applications Committee met to discuss a range of planning and listed building applications, primarily concerning retrospective consents and condition discharges. Decisions were made on alterations to the Kensington Roof Gardens, a basement development on Holland Park Road, and various other properties within the borough.
