The committee agreed to note the reports presented, and decided against making a recommendation to Mayor and Cabinet regarding the council tax collection rate target, pending further review.

The agenda included reviewing the 2024-25 financial outturn, discussing the medium-term financial strategy, considering budget savings proposals for 2025-26 and 2026-27, and planning the committee's work programme for the upcoming municipal year.

Audit and Risk Committee

Audit and Risk Committee - Tuesday, 18th March, 2025 7.00 pm

This meeting was about the final accounts for 2023/24 and the early stages of planning for the 2024/25 audit. A report by KPMG, the Council’s external auditor, was provided that described its audit of the 2023/24 accounts, the value for money arrangements at the Council and its plans for the 2024/25 audit. The Committee were also provided with an update on the work of internal audit and the Corporate Risk Register.

Pension Board

Pension Board - Monday, 10th March, 2025 2.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to include the confirmation of the minutes from the previous meeting, a report on breaches of the Local Government Act 1972, a discussion of actions arising from the previous meeting, and consideration of a training log for board members. The meeting was also scheduled to include a general update and a discussion of the board's work programme.

Pensions Investment Committee

Pensions Investment Committee - Wednesday, 5th February, 2025 7.00 pm

The Pensions Investment Committee noted the contents of the quarterly investment report, adopted the fund's new Administration Strategy, and agreed to a number of recommendations made in private.
