The Waltham Forest Council Cabinet met to discuss and approve a range of strategic and financial matters, including the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy, the Avenue Road Estate regeneration project, and the continuation of the Council Tax Support scheme. They also reviewed the budget, fees and charges, and updates on the Mission Waltham Forest programme. All recommendations were approved, some subject to the call-in process[^2].
Cabinet - Tuesday, 4th November, 2025 2.00 pm
The Waltham Forest Council cabinet approved a new strategy to address the increasing demand for temporary accommodation in the borough, as well as a new agreement to provide integrated mental health services. Councillor Grace Williams, Leader of the Council, thanked Councillor Ahsan Khan, Deputy Leader (Housing and Regeneration) and Councillor Louise Mitchell, Portfolio Lead Member - Adults and Health, for their leadership on these issues.

The Waltham Forest Health and Wellbeing Board and Health and Care Partnership Board were scheduled to hold an integrated meeting on 20 October 2025. Items for discussion included updates on promoting wellbeing, the Better Care Fund, and the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Improvement Plan. The Waltham Forest Council met to discuss a range of topics, including amendments to the council's constitution, treasury management, and a motion regarding support for local businesses. Councillors agreed to amend the Council Procedure Rules and the Councillor's Code of Conduct, and noted reports on treasury management activities, scrutiny, and the use of emergency provisions.
