The Environment Select Committee was scheduled to discuss the Environment and Neighbourhoods directorate's budget for 2026-27, as well as the directorate's key performance indicators. Councillors were also expected to review the committee's work programme for the 2025-26 municipal year.
Environment Select Committee - Thursday, 23rd October, 2025 6.30 pm
The Environment Select Committee was scheduled to meet to review the progress of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2024-2030, and to receive an update from Thames Water on flood risk management in the borough. The committee was also scheduled to confirm the minutes of their previous meeting. As this was a public meeting, 72 seconds of silence were scheduled to be observed in remembrance of the victims of the Grenfell tragedy[^2].
Full Council - Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025 6.30 pm
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's Full Council met on 22 October 2025, and addressed the borough's medium-term financial strategy, adopted an updated local code of corporate governance, and approved changes to standing orders and the municipal timetable. Councillors also debated motions on pension fund investments in temporary accommodation, becoming a Borough of Sanctuary, street scene enhancements, changes to the Integrated Care Board[^2], and council tax waivers for terminally ill residents.
Licensing Committee - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 10.00 am
The Kensington and Chelsea Licensing Committee met to discuss and note the proposed revisions to the council's statement of licensing policy 2026-2031, which is required under the Licensing Act 2003. The committee reviewed feedback from a public consultation and considered amendments to the policy. The updated policy will be presented to the Leadership Team and then to the Full Council for adoption.
