Special, County Planning Committee - Monday 20 October 2025 1.00 pm

The County Planning Committee met to discuss two planning applications. Councillors approved the application for 137 homes in Wheatley Hill, and approved the application for 79 homes in Pelton.

Area Planning Committee (South and West) - Thursday 16 October 2025 1.00 pm

The Area Planning Committee (South and West) met to consider planning applications for a self-build home in Stanhope, a care home in Newton Aycliffe, and a dwelling with a detached garage in Chilton. The committee was scheduled to review the minutes from their meetings on 11 September 2025 and 18 September 2025.

Special (Joint meeting with Environment and Sustainable Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee), Economy and Enterprise Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 13 October 2025 1.30 pm

This was a special joint meeting of the Economy and Enterprise Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Environment and Sustainable Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee. The main item for discussion was a report and presentation on fuel poverty in County Durham. Councillors were expected to comment on the report and presentation, and to consider receiving a further update on fuel poverty at a future meeting.

All Together for Spennymoor - Friday 10 October 2025 1.00 pm

The All Together for Spennymoor board convened to discuss the Plan for Neighbourhoods (PfN) programme, review the previous meeting's minutes, and receive updates from the chair. A key focus was the content, submission, and discussion of the PfN 10-year vision.
