The Constitution Committee convened to discuss and approve a new Planning Code of Conduct for members, replacing the existing Planning Code of Practice, and to note the committee's Terms of Reference. The committee also approved the minutes from the previous meeting held on 8 April 2025.

Extraordinary Council Meeting, Council - Thursday 23 October 2025 6.00 pm

The Hackney Council meeting on 23 October 2025 convened to address a cross-party motion concerning the council's ties with Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The council did not carry the original motion put forward by the Green Party and Hackney Independent Socialist Group. Instead, the council voted to approve recommendations outlined in the Labour group's amended motion.

Children and Young People Scrutiny Commission - Monday 13 October 2025 7.00 pm

The Children and Young People Scrutiny Commission met to discuss support for vulnerable parents, the Hackney Education Strategy, and contraceptive and sexual health services for young people. The meeting also included a review of the work programme for the remainder of the municipal year.

Scrutiny Panel - Monday 6 October 2025 7.00 pm

The Hackney Council Scrutiny Panel met on 6 October 2025 at Hackney Town Hall. The agenda included the Hackney Council Complaints and Member Enquiries Annual Report, Hackney Council's Performance Reporting New Dashboards, and the Scrutiny Panel Work Programme.

Pensions Committee - Tuesday 23 September 2025 6.30 pm

The Hackney Council Pensions Committee convened to discuss several key items, including the approval of the Funding Strategy Statement and associated policies, updates on the migration of pension administration services, and the review of the 2024/25 Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Report. The committee also reviewed the Quarterly Business Plan and Governance, and received updates on investment performance and responsible investment activities. All recommendations put before the committee were approved.
