West Northamptonshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including housing management, budget adjustments for the Market Square project, and several annual reports related to safeguarding and education. The Cabinet approved a phased approach to bring housing services management back into the council, an increase to the Market Square capital budget, and the adoption of a policy statement for supporting children unable to attend school.

At a meeting of the West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet, members approved a new Family Help Strategy, endorsed an updated approach to locality-based prevention, and approved several service plans related to health protection and enforcement. The Cabinet also agreed to exclude the press and public to discuss the restoration of property for service use.

West Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board - Friday 3rd October 2025 2.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss a range of health and social care issues affecting the area, including updates on the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) improvement plan, the Family Help Strategy, disabled facilities grants, the NHS five-year plan, health inequalities, and joint strategic needs assessments. The meeting also included reports from Healthwatch North and West Northamptonshire, and updates on the Better Care Fund and capital resources.

Shareholder Cabinet Sub-Committee - Wednesday 1st October 2025 2.00 pm

The Shareholder Cabinet Sub-Committee convened to discuss and approve the Landlord Services Q1 Performance Report 2025/26 and a suite of Landlord Compliance Policies. The committee noted the performance report, which highlighted both successes and areas needing improvement in housing landlord services, and approved the updated compliance policies aimed at addressing regulatory concerns and ensuring tenant safety. These actions follow a C3 grading issued by the Regulator of Social Housing in late 2024, which indicated serious failings in how Northamptonshire Partnership Homes (NPH) was delivering the outcomes of the Safety and Quality Standard on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council (WNC).
