Public Accounts Select Committee - Thursday, 26th September, 2024 7.00 pm

Lewisham Council's Licensing Committee met to consider an application for a late night refreshment licence for Savalan Kebab at 289 Sydenham Road, London SE26 5EW. They decided to grant the application for late night refreshment, from 11pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and 11pm to 1am Friday and Saturday, subject to a number of conditions.
Healthier Communities Select Committee - Tuesday, 17th September, 2024 7.00 pm
The Healthier Communities Select Committee was scheduled to receive an update on Lewisham Council's work with unpaid carers in the borough. They were also scheduled to receive an update on the Council's work with the Social Care Institute for Excellence, and on the performance of adult social care.

The committee made several recommendations relating to these issues, including that officers discuss with private businesses raising awareness of car idling, that the accessibility of air quality data on the council website should be improved, that discussions be held with Transport for London (TfL) to consider if bus movements can be altered to support sustainable transport in the town centre, and that the committee receive further information about a licensing review.
