The Durham County Council Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including the approval of a new council plan, public health initiatives, support for children in care, and strategies for revitalising high streets. Councillors agreed to publish the Director of Public Health Annual Report 2025, and approved the new Durham Family Strategy 2025-2029, renaming the Corporate Parenting Panel to the Durham Family Panel. Additionally, the cabinet agreed to consult on designating areas in Bishop Auckland and Stanley for High Street Rental Auctions.
