The Environment, Transport and Growth Cabinet Panel met to discuss demand management at Hertfordshire's household waste and recycling centres (HWRCs). The panel agreed to recommend that officers set out a range of alternative proposals for managing demand at the centres for consideration via a public consultation exercise. These proposals will explore options beyond those initially suggested in the integrated plan.

Public Health & Community Safety Cabinet Panel - Wednesday, 4 June 2025 2.00 pm

The Public Health and Community Safety Cabinet Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including an introduction to Hertfordshire's Chief Constable, updates on mental health and substance use programmes, children's oral health, and fire and rescue service inspections. The panel agreed to note the reports and continue to champion public health and community safety initiatives.

Annual Meeting, County Council - Tuesday, 20 May 2025 10.00 am

At the annual meeting of Hertfordshire County Council, Councillor Laurence Brass was elected as the new Chairman, and Councillor Sandy Walkington was elected as Vice-Chairman. Councillor Steve Jarvis was elected as the Leader of the Council, marking a shift from the previous Conservative administration.
