The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including political proportionality, traffic congestion, youth justice, and local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to continue exploring options for local government reorganisation, while also agreeing to re-establish a youth parliament. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Alan Plancy, MBE, who recently passed away.

The committee noted the report on permanent exclusions and requested additional data. They also endorsed the workforce recruitment and retention overview, and approved the scrutiny work programme for the upcoming year with agreed amendments.
