The Buckinghamshire Council met to discuss several key issues, including the appointment of a returning officer, cabinet member reports, and motions related to local plans and funding. Councillors approved the appointment of Lisa Marie Williams as the returning officer and electoral registration officer, and also approved a motion to engage with water and sewage providers on capacity investment in the local plan. The Buckinghamshire Council cabinet met to discuss the annual report, budget management, and quarterly performance, deciding to approve transfers to reserves and note the performance and budget reports. (Annual Meeting), Council - Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 4.00 pm

Buckinghamshire Council convened for its first meeting since the local elections, during which Councillor Sarfaraz Khan Raja was elected as the new Chairman, and Councillor John Chilver was elected as Vice-Chairman. Councillor Steve Broadbent was elected as the Leader of the council, and he announced his cabinet appointments for the year. The council also approved the proposed structure for select committees and made appointments to various committees, partnerships, and outside bodies.

Finance & Resources Select Committee - Thursday, 17th April, 2025 2.00 pm

The Finance and Resources Select Committee met on 17 April 2025, receiving an update on the Customer First Programme and discussing the future work programme for the council. The committee reviewed the Customer First Annual Report 2024, which highlighted achievements in enhancing customer experience and supported a recommendation to note the report's progress.

South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee - Tuesday, 1st April, 2025 2.30 pm

The South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee met on Tuesday 1 April 2025. The committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting with some discussion around a prior planning application, and approved an application for a front porch at 17 Long Close, Farnham Royal. The meeting concluded with thanks to the committee members and officers, as many of the members were departing the council.
