Planning Committee - Monday, 9th December, 2024 7.30 pm

The committee approved a planning application for the demolition and redevelopment of 18-20 Tileyard Road to provide light industrial space at ground floor level, and flexible research and development and light industrial use on the upper floors. The committee also approved, subject to conditions and an updated Section 106 Agreement, a planning application to partially demolish, reclad and refurbish the existing building at 48 Chiswell Street, alongside a two storey roof extension to provide extra office floorspace and retail use at ground level.

Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 5th December, 2024 7.30 pm

The meeting discussed the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman’s annual review of complaints, social value in home care contracts, the council’s finances, and potential undeliverable savings in a range of areas.

Extraordinary, Council - Tuesday, 19th November, 2024 6.30 pm, NEW

Councillor Una O'Halloran was elected as the new leader of Islington Council. She is the first leader of the council to have been born and raised in the borough, and the first to have been a lifelong council tenant. She was elected unanimously by councillors after being proposed and seconded by Labour councillors, and welcomed by councillors from the Green party.

Audit and Risk Committee - Monday, 18th November, 2024 7.00 pm

The committee noted reports on the financial status of the council, the integration of health and social care services, and a risk assessment of the council's value for money. The committee also reviewed and approved changes to the council's Financial Regulations and Procurement Rules.

Licensing Sub Committee B - Thursday, 7th November, 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting was scheduled to consider a review of an existing off-sales licence for Zapp at 2-7 Clerkenwell Close, and an application for a new licence for Kings Cross Continental Stores at 26 Caledonian Road.
