West Northamptonshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including housing management, budget adjustments for the Market Square project, and several annual reports related to safeguarding and education. The Cabinet approved a phased approach to bring housing services management back into the council, an increase to the Market Square capital budget, and the adoption of a policy statement for supporting children unable to attend school.

The Local Pension Board of West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 23 October 2025, at One Angel Square, Northampton. West Northamptonshire Schools Forum - Tuesday 14th October 2025 2.00 pm
The West Northamptonshire Schools Forum met to discuss Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) monitoring, school funding, and early years funding for the upcoming financial year. The forum endorsed consultation proposals for both schools and early years funding for 2026-27, with minor additions to include questions around falling rolls funds and deprivation rates. They also noted the forecast outturn position for the year ending 31 March 2026 and the forward plan, with additional items to be added around education white paper review, changes around requirements of the Education Act S19[^2], draft sufficiency strategy update, and forecasting numbers/place planning.
Cabinet - Monday 13th October 2025 6.00 pm
At a meeting of the West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet, members approved a new Family Help Strategy, endorsed an updated approach to locality-based prevention, and approved several service plans related to health protection and enforcement. The Cabinet also agreed to exclude the press and public to discuss the restoration of property for service use.
