Standards and General Purposes Committee - Thursday, 10th July, 2025 2.00 pm

The Standards and General Purposes Committee convened to review complaints, consider an annual report, and discuss the work programme. The committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting, reviewed the Compliments, Complaints and Improvements Annual Report and Ombudsman Update, and noted the Member Code of Conduct Complaints - Quarter 1 Review.

Council - Wednesday, 9th July, 2025 4.00 pm

The Buckinghamshire Council met to discuss several key issues, including the appointment of a returning officer, cabinet member reports, and motions related to local plans and funding. Councillors approved the appointment of Lisa Marie Williams as the returning officer and electoral registration officer, and also approved a motion to engage with water and sewage providers on capacity investment in the local plan. A motion regarding transparency of member fees was referred to the Standards and General Purpose Committee.

Burnham Local, 31 High Street, Burnham, Slough, SL1 7JD (Application), Licensing (Premises) Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 8th July, 2025 2.30 pm

The Buckinghamshire Council Licensing Sub-Committee convened to consider an application for a new premises licence for Burnham Local, located at 31 High Street, Burnham, Slough, SL1 7JD. The committee decided to grant the licence, subject to mandatory conditions, conditions consistent with the operating schedule submitted by the applicant, and additional conditions to address concerns raised during the hearing. These conditions related to waste management, deliveries, and staff training.

Health & Adult Social Care Select Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 10.00 am

The Health and Adult Social Care Select Committee met to discuss the Integrated Care Board, the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Adult Social Care and Public Health, and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. Councillor Stuart Wilson, Chair of the Health and Adult Social Care Committee, welcomed the members and partners to the meeting. Councillor Shade Adoh was re-appointed as vice-chair of the committee.

McDonald's, Site of Former Askeys Factory, Stocklake, Aylesbury (Application), Licensing (Premises) Sub-Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 11.00 am

The committee decided to grant the license, with conditions focusing on monitoring noise and displaying notices to encourage considerate behaviour from customers. The decision took into account concerns raised by local residents regarding potential disturbances and the need to balance those concerns with the applicant's right to operate their business.
