The Boston Borough Council Cabinet met to discuss and approve the submission of a ten-year regeneration plan and a four-year investment profile for Boston under the UK Government's Pride in Place Programme[^1] (formerly the Plan for Neighbourhoods). The cabinet approved the recommendations, which will allow the council to meet the government's submission deadline of 28 November 2025. The plan aims to secure up to £20 million in funding for the town over the next decade.

At a special cabinet meeting, Boston Borough Council agreed to partner with East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council in developing a proposal for local government reorganisation, and also approved operational arrangements for a home energy advice service. The cabinet also discussed and approved a finance update, a performance and risk report, and an update on the Plan for Neighbourhoods.

The Boston Borough Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Plan for Neighbourhoods and an update on Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). The committee heard that Boston is to receive £20 million over the next 10 years as part of the government's Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, and that the council has received £450,000 in capacity funding to help prepare the plans. The committee also received an update on the council's enforcement activity in relation to HMOs, and discussed the upcoming Renters Rights Bill. The committee agreed to note the report on HMOs and the Plan for Neighbourhoods, and to discuss them further at a workshop on 3 July 2025.
