The Lancashire County Council Development Control Committee met on Thursday, December 4, 2025, and refused an application to extend the time limit for restoration works at the Preston New Road Exploration Site, while approving applications for a waste processing facility at Hillhouse International Business Park and a residential development on Stanifield Lane.

The Full Council of Lancashire Council is scheduled to meet on 20 November 2025 to discuss local government reorganisation, committee appointments, and updates to the council's constitution. The Community, Cultural, and Corporate Services Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the first year delivery report of the council's digital strategy, and to consider the data informing proposals for local government reorganisation (LGR). The committee reviewed the progress of the digital strategy, provided feedback on priorities for the coming year, and discussed areas for future focus. Councillors also examined data sets related to LGR, exploring potential impacts and raising concerns about resident representation and service delivery.

Full Council - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 1.00 pm

The upcoming Full Council meeting is set to address a variety of topics, including community safety, the members' allowance scheme, and the annual review of overview and scrutiny.
