The Sutton Council Planning Committee met on 3 September 2025 to discuss planning applications for a care home, a house in multiple occupation, and a grammar school. The committee voted to grant planning permission for the Wallington County Grammar School and the Calico Avenue application, but voted to refuse planning permission for the Longfield Avenue application. The committee voted to grant planning permission for the Grantley Court Nursing Home application.

The Sutton Council Planning Committee met on 6 August 2025, and made decisions on three planning applications. Councillors refused an application to increase the number of bedrooms in an existing house in multiple occupation (HMO) at 37 Longfield Avenue, and granted permission for the retention of a pergola at 19 Calico Avenue and for extended hours of operation at the sports hall at Wallington County Grammar School.

Council - Monday, 14th July, 2025 7.00 pm

The Sutton Council meeting on 14 July 2025 included discussion of a number of motions, including the protection of Greenbelt land, helping residents through hard times, addressing the deterioration of Mill Green Mitcham Common, and Parkinson's awareness. Councillors also addressed questions about Sutton Housing Partnership repairs, Transport for London (TfL) works, the future of Healthwatch, the Victoria House site, carbon emissions, support for the charity sector, resident participation in planning, welfare reforms, and the committee system in local councils.

Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 7.00 pm

The Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee met on 3 July 2025, to discuss a Sutton Housing Partnership update, Christmas lights, and local funding. The committee was also scheduled to hear a community showcase from the Family Hubs Team and Childrens Centre Manager, and to take public questions.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 2.00 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss a new premises licence application and to review the Licensing Hearing Procedures. The meeting was scheduled to begin with welcome and introductions, the election of a chair, and declarations of interest.
