The Ashington & Blyth Community Partnership met on Wednesday 17 September 2025, to discuss the council's budget and corporate plan, a community governance review, and sports development in Newbiggin. The meeting also included a public question time, and a review of petitions. Councillors were asked to consider nominations for outside bodies.

County Council - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 3.00 pm

Northumberland County Council met on 10 September 2025, and agreed to increase the budget for the Northumberland Line project by £37.9 million, commence a county-wide Community Governance Review, and also discussed corporate performance and annual reports from cabinet members.

Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 4th September, 2025 10.00 am

The Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the annual report of the School Improvement Team, and to review the committee's work programme. The committee acknowledged the contents of the annual report, and noted the progress and impact of services for children, young people and their families.

The Communities and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) was scheduled to meet to discuss the rollout of food waste services, and to review its work programme for the 2025/26 council year. The committee was also expected to note the schedule of decisions made by the cabinet since the last meeting, together with the latest forward plan of key decisions.
