Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 26 June 2025 10.30 am

The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, an update from Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson, OBE, MPhil, and a report on the Police and Crime Plan. The panel was also scheduled to receive a presentation on road safety.

Schools Forum - Thursday 12 June 2025 1.30 pm

The Wiltshire Schools Forum met virtually to discuss budget monitoring, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) transformation, and funding proposals for the upcoming financial year. The forum agreed to note the final out-turn budget monitoring position, the SEND transformation update, and the Families and Children's Transformation (FACT) Programme update. Members also approved consultation questions for maintained schools regarding budget delegation and a consultation on transferring funds from the schools block to the high needs block for 2026-27, including consulting on reducing the Minimum Per Pupil Funding Level (MPPFL).

Environment Select Committee - Tuesday 10 June 2025 2.00 pm

The Environment Select Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday 10 June 2025 in the Kennet Room at County Hall, Trowbridge[^2]. The agenda includes the election of a chairman and vice-chairman, and a discussion of the committee's work programme. The committee is also expected to receive verbal updates from cabinet members.

Chippenham and Villages Area Board - Monday 2 June 2025 6.30 pm

The Chippenham and Villages Area Board met to discuss funding for local initiatives, updates from partner organisations, and key issues within the community. The board approved grants for various projects, including the Teen Takeover 2025, Zero North Wiltshire Community Energy website, Wilts and Berks Canal Trust, Sheldon Student Opportunity Fund, and Sheldon Road Methodist Church. Councillors also discussed community engagement, appointments to outside bodies, and updates from Wiltshire Police and other partners.

Council - Tuesday 20 May 2025 10.30 am

The annual meeting of Wiltshire Council saw Councillor Laura Mayes elected as the new chairman, and Councillor Ruth Hopkinson elected as vice-chairman. Councillor Ian Thorne was appointed leader of the council for 2025-2029, and he announced his cabinet. Councillors also voted to delegate decisions on committee appointments to a later meeting, and to authorise work to establish a new financial scrutiny committee.
