Health in Hackney Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 8 October 2024 7.00 pm

The Commission gave consideration to two reports: the proposed transfer of specialised services commissioning from NHS England to the new North East London Integrated Care Board (NHS NEL), and a presentation and discussion about inequalities in the diagnosis and treatment of maternal mental health in City & Hackney. No decisions were taken at the meeting.

Scrutiny Panel - Monday 7 October 2024 7.00 pm

The meeting discussed a quarterly finance update, the Chief Executive’s goals and priorities, and received the Hackney Council Complaints and Inquiries Annual Report for 2023-2024. Councillor Rob Chapman, the Cabinet Member for Finance, Insourcing and Customer Service, reported that the meeting took place against the backdrop of unprecedented increases in demand and financial pressures on local authority services and budgets.

Council - Wednesday 18 September 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting of Hackney Council was scheduled to include the results of recent by-elections, public questions to the Cabinet, the annual update on the Climate Action Plan, the adoption of a policy on Disclosure and Barring Service Checks for elected members, the annual report of the Overview and Scrutiny Panel, appointments to Outside Bodies and the consideration of six motions.

Health in Hackney Scrutiny Commission - Monday 16 September 2024 7.00 pm

The Commission discussed capital build opportunities in adult social care, the City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report, health impacts of air pollution, and an issue relating to the accuracy of 'observations' recording in mental health inpatient units.

Corporate Committee - Tuesday 10 September 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting was scheduled to cover a wide range of topics, including the Hackney Council Pay Policy for its Chief Officers, a report on Shop Front Trading across the borough, and the Council’s Corporate Transformation Strategy.
