The Schools Forum of Staffordshire Council met to discuss the schools budget for 2026-27, high needs funding, and other financial issues affecting schools in the area. The forum was also scheduled to review reports on various educational programmes and receive updates on schools with financial concerns.

Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education Secretary

Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education - Wednesday 12th November 2025 2:00pm

The Staffordshire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss key issues in religious education (RE), including equality, diversity and inclusion, the curriculum and assessment review, and inspection data. The council approved the updated safeguarding policy and the annual report for 2024-25, and also noted that the budget had been fully allocated for the year. Councillor Hifsa Haroon-Iqbal OBE DL was appointed as the new chair of the SACRE.

Standards Panel Secretary

Standards Panel - Monday 10th November 2025 2:00pm

The Staffordshire Council Standards Panel met to discuss a complaint against a councillor, review the code of conduct, and consider a report on gifts and hospitality. The panel decided to take no further action regarding the complaint, approved the revised code of conduct, and noted the gifts and hospitality report.

Pensions Committee Secretary

Pensions Committee - Friday 26th September 2025 10:00am

The Pensions Committee of Staffordshire Council scheduled a meeting to discuss the Staffordshire Pension Fund's SPF's investment performance, annual reports, and policies. Councillors were expected to review the fund's performance, stewardship activities, and cybersecurity measures, as well as a policy concerning conflicts of interest. The committee was also scheduled to discuss the Independent Scrutiny and Assurance Services (ISS).

The Staffordshire Council Pensions Board convened to discuss governance and updates from the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Scheme Advisory Board (SAB). A review of the Risk Register was also on the agenda.
