The Children and Young People Scrutiny Commission is scheduled to meet on Wednesday 10 December 2025 at Hackney Town Hall. The Hackney Council Audit Committee convened to review the council's financial health, risk management strategies, and audit progress, approving the unaudited statement of accounts for 2024-25, and an updated Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy and Fraud Response Plan. The committee also discussed treasury management, corporate risks, and the progress of both internal and external audits. A decision on the Chief Executive’s Directorate Risk Register was deferred to the next meeting.

The Hackney Council meeting on 23 October 2025 convened to address a cross-party motion concerning the council's ties with Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The council did not carry the original motion put forward by the Green Party and Hackney Independent Socialist Group. Instead, the council voted to approve recommendations outlined in the Labour group's amended motion.
