Combined Fire Authority for County Durham and Darlington Performance Committee - Monday 15 September 2025 10.00 am

The Combined Fire Authority for County Durham and Darlington Performance Committee met to review performance reports for Quarter Four of 2024/25 and Quarter One of 2025/26, and to note letters of appreciation received by the service. Councillors reviewed performance against set targets, comparing it with the previous year's figures, and identified areas needing improvement. The committee also noted the letters of appreciation.

Special Meeting, Cabinet - Monday 21 July 2025 10.30 am

The Durham County Council Cabinet met to discuss and approve an interim framework for the council's priorities, initiate a consultation on an Article 4 direction regarding changes of use for houses in multiple occupation (HMOs), and review the council's financial planning and transformation strategies. The cabinet agreed to the recommendations in the reports presented.

County Council - Wednesday 16 July 2025 10.00 am

Durham County Council met on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, for a meeting that included a report from the leader, questions from the public, and discussion of the Corporate Parenting Panel Annual Report. Councillors also voted against extending the time allocated to motions, and ultimately voted to rescind the Climate Emergency Declaration made in 2019, in favour of declaring a County Durham Care Emergency.
