Regulatory Committee - Tuesday 7 October 2025 10.30 am
The Warwickshire County Council Regulatory Committee met on Tuesday to discuss planning application WDC/24CC004 for Evergreen School. Councillors voted to refer the application to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for consultation, and, if the Secretary of State does not call in the application, to delegate the power to grant planning permission to officers. This decision was made despite an objection from Sport England regarding the loss of playing fields.
County Council - Tuesday 23 September 2025 10.00 am
The Warwickshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including petitions relating to local concerns, funding for bus services, highway improvements, and a declaration of a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) emergency. Councillors also debated motions on highways and investment in walking and cycling infrastructure.
Special Meeting, Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 22 September 2025 10.00 am
The Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a new flag policy and a compulsory purchase order (CPO) for the Wheat Street/Leicester Road area in Nuneaton. The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss several key issues, including challenges in the education capital programme, updates on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and the integrated performance report for the first quarter of 2025/26. The committee considered and commented on the challenges and mitigations relating to the council's education capital programme, as well as the update regarding children with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

The Warwickshire Council Regulatory Committee met on 2 September 2025 to discuss appointments to external bodies. The committee approved the nomination of Councillor Dale Keeling to the West Midlands Combined Authority Audit Risk and Assurance Committee. An amendment to instead vote on the nomination of Councillor Michael Bannister to the Nuneaton BID[^2] was not approved, meaning that Councillor Keith Kondakor remains the appointment to the Nuneaton BID.
