The Doncaster Council Cabinet met to discuss updates to the Medium-term Financial Strategy and proposed changes to the Secure Tenancy Agreement. The Cabinet noted the report on the Medium-term Financial Strategy (MTFS) and approved the proposed changes to the Secure Tenancy Agreement, including recommendations regarding successions following the death of a tenant. These changes aim to update the agreement with new legislation, increase emphasis on enforcement, and simplify the agreement for tenants.

Council - Thursday, 18th September, 2025 6.00 pm

The Doncaster Council meeting on 18 September 2025 included discussion of a motion of no confidence in Mayor Ros Jones, which was not passed, as well as the approval of the Youth Justice Plan 2025/26 and noting the Health and Wellbeing Board's Annual Report 2024/25. Councillors also addressed public questions about flags on lampposts, the closure of Warmsworth Library, and IVF treatment availability.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 10.00 am

At a meeting of the Doncaster Council cabinet, members discussed the Dedicated Schools Grant deficit, the 2025-26 Quarter 1 Finance and Performance Improvement Report, and the St. Leger Homes of Doncaster Limited Key Performance Indicators. The cabinet approved a payment of £0.68m to St Leger Homes of Doncaster, and noted the progress of St Leger Homes of Doncaster's performance and contribution to the council's strategic priorities.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 4th September, 2025 9.30 am

The Doncaster Health and Wellbeing Board convened to discuss key issues impacting the city, including the endorsement of the Health and Wellbeing Board Annual Report, and the approval of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. The board also explored strategies to close the women's and child health gap in Doncaster. Anthony Fitzgerald, Executive Place Director (Doncaster) for NHS South Yorkshire ICB, was appointed as Vice-Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Board for the 2025/26 Municipal Year.

At a meeting on 13 August 2025, Doncaster Council's cabinet convened to discuss key issues affecting the borough, including the Youth Justice Plan 2025/26 and the Doncaster Tenancy Strategy 2025. The cabinet supported the Youth Justice Plan for submission to the full council, and endorsed the new Tenancy Strategy with proposed changes.
