Devizes Area Board - Monday 1 December 2025 6.30 pm

The Devizes Area Board met to discuss winter preparedness, community governance, and grant applications. The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met on 19 November 2025, and agreed to note an update on the Wiltshire Community Strategic Partnership's work, including improvements to systems for the public to report anti-social behaviour, and to receive a further update in six months. The committee also endorsed the findings and recommendations of a Rapid Scrutiny Exercise on corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while expressing disappointment at the Executive's limited acceptance of the recommendations, and agreed to consider two notices of motion regarding screenwash and billposting, task group updates, and select committee forward work programmes.

Officer Appointments Committee - Thursday 6 November 2025 9.00 am

The Officer Appointments Committee of Wiltshire Council was scheduled to meet on Thursday 6 November 2025, to discuss the appointment of a Director of Commissioning. The meeting was also scheduled to cover standard agenda items such as apologies, declarations of interest, public participation and confirmation of the minutes from the previous meeting. Due to the confidential nature of the appointment, the public was scheduled to be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the appointment.

Council - Tuesday 21 October 2025 10.30 am

The Wiltshire Council meeting on 21 October 2025 addressed a range of topics, including the approval of the Our Wiltshire Plan 2025-2035, an update on the council's response to the climate emergency, and discussions on various motions from council members. The council also considered supplementary planning documents related to air quality and the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site. The Wiltshire Council was scheduled to meet to discuss a statutory recommendation from external auditors, Grant Thornton, regarding delays in the preparation of the council's financial accounts. The council was expected to consider the recommendation and approve a response.
