Extraordinary Meeting, Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee - Friday 3 October 2025 10.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met to discuss the proposed [Council Plan 2025-35][Council Plan - Report.pdf], raising questions and concerns before it goes to cabinet and full council for approval. Councillors discussed topics such as the plan's key performance indicators (KPIs), its consultation process, and how it would address issues such as climate change and inequality. The committee agreed to refer their suggestions to the cabinet for consideration.

Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee - Wednesday 24 September 2025 10.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met to discuss a range of topics, including transformation, complaints, task group updates, and asset management. The committee agreed to note the proposed new Asset Management Strategy, and also the proposal to transfer the freehold of St Stephen's Place car park in Trowbridge to the adjoining owner of the Castle Place Shopping Centre.

The Wiltshire Council cabinet met on 16 September 2025, and among the decisions made, the key topics discussed were the future of community based services, and a new approach to short breaks for children with additional needs. The cabinet also reviewed the financial position of the council, and agreed to land appropriations.

Eastern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 4 September 2025 3.00 pm

The Eastern Area Planning Committee met to discuss objections to the proposed modification of definitive maps and statements for Collingbourne Kingston. The committee voted to forward The Wiltshire Council Parish of Collingbourne Kingston Path Nos. 1B,8 and 9 Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025 to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (SoSEFRA) with a recommendation for confirmation without modification.

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee of Wiltshire Council met on 23 July 2025, to discuss the outline of the Council Plan 2025-2035, the priorities for the new Finance and Procurement Select Committee, and to set up a task group to review the MyWilts app. The committee also agreed to re-establish the Stone Circle Task Group.
